Who we are

MaryNails Studio is a nail studio in Dublin, Ohio. This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or book a visit with us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

What you give us

When you send a booking request, leave a review, or create an account, you give us:

  • your name, phone number and email address
  • the services you are interested in, and anything you write in the comment field
  • the text and any photo you attach to a review
  • a password, if you create an account, stored only as a cryptographic hash and never as text we can read
  • your Google account name and email, if you choose to sign in with Google

Once you have visited us, we also keep the history of your appointments: dates, services, the master who saw you, and notes our staff make about your preferences.

What we collect automatically

  • Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser and the pages you request.
  • Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which analyses how the page was used in order to tell a person from a bot. This runs on every form and cannot be switched off without switching off the form.
  • We store a small cookie holding your cookie choice, and, if you are signed in, a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
  • If, and only if, you agree on the cookie banner, Google Analytics records which pages you visit and how you arrived. You can decline, and everything on this site keeps working.

Why we use it

  • To answer your booking request, confirm a time, and remind you the day before your visit.
  • To keep a record of your visits so we know your preferences when you come back.
  • To publish your review, if you sent one.
  • To keep spam and automated submissions out of our inbox.
  • To understand how people find the studio, if you agreed to analytics.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers, and they only receive what they need to do their part:

  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • Supabase, which stores our database and the photos attached to reviews.
  • Google, for the studio calendar your appointment is written into, for the email we send you, for reCAPTCHA, and for Analytics if you agreed to it.
  • Sentry, which receives technical error reports so we can fix faults.
  • Telegram, which delivers notifications about new requests to our own staff.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Booking requests and appointment history are kept while you remain a client of the studio. Reviews stay published until you or we remove them. Server logs and error reports are kept for a short period by the providers above. If you ask us to delete your data, we do so except where we are required to keep a record.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • correct it if it is wrong
  • delete it
  • stop sending you email about your visits

If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA also give you the right to know what we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, which we do neither of, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of them, write to us at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we will answer within the time the law allows.

Cookies

  • Necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics only after you accept them on the banner, and are not set at all if you decline. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer.
  • We set no advertising cookies.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. A visit booked for a minor should be booked by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Where the change is significant, we will ask for your cookie choice again.
